MobileQubes’ Custom Software Revives Phones
BATON ROUGE, LA (December 9, 2014) — MobileQubes, based out of New Orleans, Louisiana, launched a new way to bring your dead device back to life while on-the-go. MobileQubes partnered with Envoc, a 2014 Inc. 5000 design and development firm located in Baton Rouge, to deliver a unique solution to tablet and smartphone users.
While sitting in a restaurant, MobileQubes’ CEO Sean Carrigan’s phone died. He was waiting on several important calls and frantically searched for a way to charge his smartphone. With no outlets to use, he thought to himself, "It would be great if there was an easy, affordable way to charge my phone when I’m out without the need of an outlet." The result of this minor emergency is MobileQubes, a self-service, fully automated kiosk that provides mobile battery packs when you need them the most.
To bring these kiosks to life, MobileQubes partnered with Envoc to help create the best solution for users on-the-go to buy, rent, and return their "Qubes." Although Sean and his partners, CTO Jason Palmer and President & COO Mike Melito, had already designed their kiosks, the team needed an elegant, reliable, and user-friendly software to manage the transactions. Envoc was able to build a custom software solution that has an easy-to-use interface for customers from all walks of life. Envoc also built a mobile friendly (responsive) website using MobileQubes custom branding that easily directs users to the nearest kiosk.
Now in those dire circumstances when cell power is needed, anyone can go to the MobileQubes website and click "Find a Qube" to locate the nearest kiosk. Once at the kiosk, it’s as easy as selecting your phone or tablet from a wide array of models on the screen, swiping your card to pay, and taking your Qube. When you’re done with the Qube, you just bring it back to the nearest kiosk, or you can even buy the Qube to keep and recharge on your own. Together, MobileQubes and Envoc, have made finding a charge on-the-go for your mobile device as easy as Qubing Up!
